Skills and Diversity Audit: Why an audit? Why Now?
We are a relatively young society, with relatively little resource other than our Fellows: but this should give us the opportunity to do things differently and in transformative ways and to do these things faster, in a more agile way than is perhaps possible in longer established learned societies.
We also need more information about what our Fellows do so that we can include more of them in the ongoing work of the society. We need to know how they might contribute for example: as consultants and experts in the wider Welsh context, and as support for Welsh universities attempting to develop and deliver on their own strategic equality agendas.
Above all we need an evidence base of what kinds of skills, experience and diversity are actually missing from our current fellowship so that we have the potential to move forward in an informed, planned and prioritised way.
This audit will ask a number of questions regarding your contributions in a wide range of contexts e.g. academic, industry, commerce, education, pul sector etc. Please respond to the questions that are relevant to you.
The response rate to the last survey of Fellows was not high: 87 of 470 (approx) replied. This time we really do need all of you to take part to help us build the society for the future.
You do not need to complete the survey in one sitting and not all sections will be relevant to all Fellows.
We are aware that this audit is reasonably long and will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete.
However, we really appreciate the time you are able to give us and we know it will benefit the Society as a whole.
