Are you a disabled person, or someone with a long-term medical condition working in, aspiring to work in (e.g. in training), or retired from the legal profession? If so, this questionnaire is for you.
Funded by the National Lottery, this is an independent research project headed by Professor Debbie Foster of Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University and has been produced in partnership with Dr Natasha Hirst (independent researcher) and disabled people from the Lawyers with Disabilities Division of The Law Society. The purpose of the research is to produce the first large scale evidence base of the career experiences of disabled people across the legal profession. Whether applying for or in training, working as a paralegal, solicitor, or barrister we want to hear from you.
The questionnaire is entirely anonymous. By submitting this questionnaire you are consenting to take part in the study. Participation in this study is entirely voluntary but once you have submitted your reply it is not possible to withdraw from the study because it will not be possible to trace your individual response.
The questionnaire allows you to omit any questions you do not wish to answer with two exceptions. It is possible to save and return to the questionnaire if needed, by clicking on the 'finish later' link that appears at the bottom of each page of questions.
If you would like to discuss the questionnaire or have any concerns about it please contact the principal investigator Professor Debbie Foster (FosterD1@cardiff.ac.uk).
We anticipate that it will take approximately 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire. There will be an opportunity at the end of the questionnaire to include comments on any issues you feel have not been covered already.
If you require the questionnaire in an accessible format please contact Dr Natasha Hirst in confidence: HirstN2@Cardiff.ac.uk
Thank you for participating in this research.
